Kattil movie review

Story:

Ganeshbabu along with his wife Srushti Dange, mother and son lives in a three generation old ancestral house.

There is a 250 year old cot in the house and Ganeshbabu is very fond of this cot.

Ganesh’s brother and sister want to sell the house. However, Ganeshbabu dooes not agree to this and he is also not ready to give up the cot.

At one stage, the house is sold and Ganesh plans to buy a house big enough to take the cot with him. But, it is not that easy.

So, as a temporary solution, Ganeshbabu keeps the cot in a different location and rents a house and stays there.

Was Ganeshbabu able to buy the new house, did he bring the cot to this new house forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:

Ganeshbabu who has played the hero in the movie has also directed it. He has extracted good work from the actors.

He has made the entire plot which revolves around the cot and has delivered an important message.

Ganeshbabu plays three different characters in the movie and has shown subtle variation in each of the roles.

Srusthi Dange comes as a pregnant role and is impressive in her character.

Kanniga who is the second female lead in the movie has also done her part well.

Viddharth who comes in a brief cameo creates the much needed impact for his character.

Rest of the cast have also delivered what was expected from them.

Srikanth Deva’s music is one of the biggest strengths of the movie.

Camerawork by Wide Angle Ravishankar is good. Rest of the technical aspects are passable.
