Kamal replies to Alphonse Puthren’s request
Malayalam director Alphonse Puthren recently requested Kamal Haasan to reveal some secrets about Michael Madhana Kama Rajan.
Alphonse Puthren expressed that he has been wondering how Kamal Haasan performed four different roles in the movie which was released in 1990, at a time when computer graphics were not available.
He added that a blockbuster like Dasavatharam is like a Ph.D. in filmmaking.
Respoding to this Kamal Haasan has said ‘Thank you Alphonse Puthren. Will do soon. I don’t know how much of a learning it will be for you. For me, it was as I had mentioned, a master class. Talking about it after years teaches me new lessons.’
Michael Madana Kamarajan is a 1990 Indian Tamil-language comedy film directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao and written by Kamal Haasan, with Crazy Mohan penning the dialogues. The film stars Haasan in four roles.
