Kalasagar Awards 2023 Announced
The Fourteenth Kalasagar awards for exemplary contribution in the field of traditional performing arts for the year 2023 announced. Kalasagar awards are given in honor of the artistes in the field of Kathakali – Vesham, Music, Chenda, Maddalam and Chutty as well as Bharathanatyam, Mohiniyattom, Kuchipudi, Ottenthullal, Chakyarkoothu, Koodiyattom, Thayambaka, and Panchavadyam — Thimila, Maddalam, Edakka, Ilathalam and Kombu. As in the past awardees are selected through nominations received from art conosseiure.
