“Kaalidas 2 ” Movie Review
The story revolves around Kalidas (Bharath), an appreciated and efficient police officer known for solving important and complex cases. During a New Year midnight celebration in a large apartment complex with around eight hundred houses, a child suddenly goes missing. Kalidas takes charge of the investigation and begins a detailed inquiry.
A woman police officer (Bhavani Sri) arrives to review whether the investigation is being conducted properly, and initially she and Kalidas have professional disagreements. As the investigation progresses, several residents including the child’s mother (Aparnathi), father (Ananta Nag), the apartment secretary, and many others are questioned as part of the inquiry process.
In one of the related cases, a missing child is successfully rescued, which adds hope and motivation to the investigation team. Suspicion falls on a man (Ajay Karthik) living in the same apartment complex, and he is arrested. However, a famous lawyer (Prakash Raj) argues the case and manages to secure his release, proving that the police suspicion was not fully correct. Meanwhile, another unexpected incident occurs in the apartment, making the investigation more complex and engaging.
The investigation takes many twists and turns, keeping the audience interested in finding out who the real culprit is and what the true motive behind the crime is. The film is inspired by a real-life incident involving a young girl, which adds emotional depth and seriousness to the story.
Director Sri Senthil has done a very good job in presenting the story in an engaging manner. Cinematography by Suresh Bala is impressive and visually appealing, and the background score composed by Sam CS adds great strength and intensity to the film. Editor Poovan Sreenivasan has maintained a smooth flow throughout the movie.
The film also clearly shows police procedures, administrative systems, and the professional conflicts between officers in a realistic way. Performances by Bharath, Bhavani Sri, and the supporting cast are notable and add value to the film.
Overall, the film is an engaging investigative thriller with a strong climax and also gives an important message about child safety in apartment communities.
