Jailer 2 gets a new musical punch with second single announcement
Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 is gearing up for another musical release, with production house Sun Pictures announcing that the film’s second song, One Sun One Moon, will arrive on September 25.
The announcement came through a humorous promotional video featuring director Nelson and composer Anirudh Ravichander.
The video revolves around the pair repeatedly debating how the song should sound. Nelson asks for an “international mass” number, only to respond with another round of feedback after hearing Anirudh’s work.
Their increasingly playful arguments eventually turn into a comic exchange about each other’s abilities, adding a dose of humour to the song announcement.
The first song from Jailer 2, Ala Bolelo, was released on August 21. The track received a mixed reaction, with listeners praising its catchy elements and choreography while others criticised its lyrics.
The title One Sun One Moon has already generated curiosity among Rajinikanth fans. It appears to draw from the popular fan phrase referring to the superstar as the one and only.
The promotional video also features a brief voice appearance from Rajinikanth’s character Muthuvel Pandian, further connecting the song to the film’s central character.
Jailer 2 is scheduled to reach theatres worldwide on October 15. Like the original Jailer, the sequel features a large ensemble cast. The lineup includes Shivarajkumar, Vidya Balan and Suraj Venjaramoodu along with Rajinikanth.
