ISKCON Chennai ECR will celebrate Sri Krishna Janmashtami at ISKCON Chennai ECR Temple, Akkarai, with Adivas on 3 September and the main observance on 4 September 2026. Devotees, families and members of the public are invited to participate in the temple programmes throughout the celebration.

The celebrations will be streamed live on the official ISKCON Chennai YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/@ ISKCON.Chennai, so that devotees who are unable to visit the temple may take darshan of Their Lordships from their homes. ISKCON Chennai cordially invites devotees, families, members of the public and representatives of the press, television and online news media to attend the celebrations at the temple.
Spiritual Significance
Sri Krishna Janmashtami commemorates the divine appearance of Lord Sri Krishna. The observance offers devotees an opportunity to hear and chant the holy names, take darshan and participate in arati, kirtan and abhishekam in remembrance of the Lord’s appearance.
