India’s newest airline FLY91 inks MoU with Goa Tourism to promote sustainable travel
~ The regional airline will work with Goa Tourism to promote regenerative tourism.
~ Goa Tourism Department to promote FLY91 as the state’s own airlines across all mediums
~ The aim is to emphasize Goa’s rich culture, heritage, wellness retreats, adventure tourism and spiritual destinations.
Goa-based airline FLY91 inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Tourism, Government of Goa at the Goa International Travel Mart on Wednesday.
Through the MoU, FLY91 expressed its commitment to develop and promote the Department of Tourism’s priorities. Specifically, FLY91 will promote domestic and inbound tourism to Goa, conduct activities that contribute to further develop sustainable tourism in the picturesque state, and strengthen the Goa Government’s initiatives to empower hospitality businesses.
In turn, the Department of Tourism will promote the ‘FLY91’ brand at various B2C conferences and forums where the Government of Goa is scheduled to participate. The Department will support FLY91 at leading travel exhibitions, while also promoting FLY91 operations on the Goa Tourism social media handles.
Commenting on the MoU, Manoj Chacko, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, FLY91 said, “FLY91 is committed to promoting tourism in Goa through various initiatives that highlight the state’s unique identity. This MoU sets out broad areas of future cooperation and partnership between the Department of Tourism and FLY91 and we are delighted to be working closely with the state government.”
A veteran of the travel industry, Chacko has earlier worked in senior leadership roles at Emirates Airlines, Kingfisher Airlines, American Express, SOTC and WNS.
The State Department of Tourism is dedicated to transforming Goa into a year-round, holistic travel and tourism destination. The state is keen to attract tourists to its pristine hinterland based on the concept of ‘Goa Beyond Beaches’ as outlined by Tourism Minister, Government of Goa, Rohan Khaunte.

Through this partnership with Just Udo Aviation Private Limited, we aim to leverage their expertise and resources to enhance tourism promotion efforts in the region,” said Director of Tourism and MD Goa Tourism Development Corporation, Government of Goa, Suneel Anchipaka, IAS.
The two-year agreement identifies broad areas of future cooperation and partnership between Goa government’s Department of Tourism and FLY91, which can help attract high-end tourists seeking diverse and quality experiences.
FLY91 has its head office in Goa and its first base is state’s Manohar International Airport, Mopa.
