India reports 67,084 fresh coronavirus cases
India reported a total of 67,084 new coronavirus cases today. According to the Union Health Ministry, the active cases declined to 8,92,828.
The active cases comprise1.86 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has improved to 96.95 per cent, the ministry said.
While the daily positivity rate was recorded at 4.44 per cent while the weekly positivity rate was recorded at 6.58 per cent, according to the ministry.
Meanwhile, Global COVID-19 cases surpassed 400 million on Wednesday, according to a Reuters tally, as the highly contagious Omicron variant dominates the outbreak, pushing health systems in several countries to the brink of capacity.
