India reports 25,166 fresh coronavirus cases, 23.5 per cent lower than Monday
India today reported 25,166 fresh COVID-19 cases, 23.5% lower than yesterday, taking the total number of infections to 3,22,50,679.
Besides, with 437 new fatalities in the last 24 hours, the death count has increased to 4,32,079. The country’s active caseload currently is 3,69,846.
Across the country, 3,14,48,754 in total have recovered so far, with 36,830 patients recovering during last 24 hours.
Yesterday, the country had reported 32,937 new cases, besides 417 more deaths.
According to Monday’s update, 54.58 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far in the country.
The number of cases with the Delta Plus variant of the disease has reached 76, data released on Monday showed. Of these, 10 had received both doses of one of the Covid vaccines and 12 the first, the government has said.
