How can Vijay be under BJP’s influence when he calls us his rival: TN BJP chief Nainar
Tamil Nadu BJP President Nainar Nagenthran has dismissed allegations that actor-politician Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) is under the Bharatiya Janata Party’s influence.
Addressing the controversy, Nainar pointed out that Vijay has consistently labeled the BJP as a political rival.
He questioned how Vijay could be considered aligned with the BJP when he openly criticizes the party. Nainar challenged the DMK and its allies to clarify their stance on this matter.
Vijay has been vocal in his criticism of both the BJP and the DMK. In a recent rally in Namakkal, he accused the DMK of covert dealings with the BJP, stating that voting for the DMK was akin to voting for the BJP.
He emphasized that TVK would not align with the BJP, labeling it a “fascist” party.
The BJP’s response underscores the ongoing political tension in Tamil Nadu as the 2026 state assembly elections approach.
With Vijay positioning TVK as an alternative to both the ruling DMK and the BJP, the dynamics of the state’s political landscape continue to evolve.
