Hooch tragedy: AIADMK holds state wide protest
The AIADMK on Monday organised a state-wide protest against the Tamil Nadu government over the hooch tragedy and the prevailing law and order situation.
Former ministers and senior leaders headed the protest in the district headquarters across the state. The prime opposition woke up from its long sombre and resorted to a state-wide protest on Monday to take a potshot at its arch rival DMK’s government.
It was following the protest led by party general secretary and Leader of Opposition Edappadi K Palaniswami in Chennai on May 22.
EPS, in a statement, thanked the senior party leaders and district secretaries for organising the protest in all district headquarters to draw the attention of the people on DMK government’s false poll promises, hooch tragedy that claimed the lives of over 20 people, corruption and degradation of law and order.
