H. Raja Urges to Protect Tamil Nadu from DMK’s Influence
BJP leader H. Raja has called for urgent action to “save Tamil Nadu” from the alleged detrimental effects of the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party. Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Raja criticized the state’s current leadership for what he described as its failure to address key issues affecting Tamil society and culture.
Raja, a former state president of the BJP in Tamil Nadu, accused the DMK of undermining Tamil pride and diluting the region’s cultural identity. He pointed out that the DMK’s policies were being influenced by external forces, including the Congress and other national parties, which, in his view, did not prioritize Tamil interests.
The BJP leader particularly took issue with the DMK’s stance on issues related to language and education. Raja claimed that the party’s recent moves had shown a lack of respect for Tamil heritage and the needs of the local population. He urged Tamil Nadu’s citizens to recognize these challenges and work towards preserving the state’s distinct cultural identity.
Raja also questioned the DMK’s approach to governance, particularly its handling of welfare programs, infrastructure development, and public services. He emphasized the need for strong, autonomous leadership in the state that genuinely reflects the aspirations of Tamils rather than aligning with national political agendas.
His comments came amid increasing political tension in the state, with several other leaders also weighing in on the current political climate. Raja called on the people of Tamil Nadu to be vigilant and to actively participate in safeguarding the interests of their state.
While the DMK has yet to respond to these latest remarks, political analysts suggest that Raja’s comments are likely to add to the ongoing discourse over regional autonomy and the role of national political parties in Tamil Nadu’s governance.
