GV Prakash reveals why his Vijay reunion never happened
Composer and actor GV Prakash Kumar has revealed that he was once expected to reunite with former actor and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay for a third film, but the project ultimately failed to materialise.
Prakash had previously worked on Vijay-led films Thalaivaa and Theri. In an interview with SS Music, he explained that another Vijay project was discussed with either Sudha Kongara or Vetri Maaran attached to direct.
According to Prakash, both filmmakers required roughly a year to develop their respective scripts. By the time the project could have progressed, Vijay moved on to Beast, effectively closing that window.
Prakash also revealed that Sudha Kongara had developed what he considered an impressive story for Vijay. The same project was later discussed with Prakash, Kongara and Telugu star Mahesh Babu, but that version too failed to take shape.
The composer has a long creative association with both directors. His collaborations with Kongara include Soorarai Pottru and Parasakthi, while his work with Vetri Maaran spans films including Polladhavan, Aadukalam, Visaranai and Asuran.
