Gatta Kusthi movie review
Story:
Vishnu Vishal loses his parents at an young age. Following this he looks up to the village president Karunaas.
Karunaas has the ideology that women are lower to men and this attitude brushes on Vishnu Vishal as well.
He puts several condition to find a bride for him.
This includes that the girl should not be more educated that him and shold have long hair.
On the other hand there is Aishwarya Lekhsmiis a talented Gatta Kusthi player who is not able to find a suitable groom.
Munishkanth some how manages to get Vishnu Vishal married with Aishwarya. What happens after this forms the rest of the story.
Analysis:
Director Chella Ayyavu has delivered a movie which has the right mix of sentiment, comedy and a social message.
The movie begins on a humourous note in the first half and slowly changes track to sentiment in the second half.
Apart from a few cliched sequences in the second half, the movie has a good screenplay.
Vishal Vishal has got into the skin of his character who wants to dominate his wife.
He has once again delivered a neat performance which is convincing as well.
Aishwarya Lekshmi is the star of the movie. The entire movie revolves around her character and she has done complete justice to her role.
She has done extemely well in the stunt sequences which is one of the major highlights of the movie.
Karunaas gets a meaty role in the movie after a long time.
Rest of the cast including Kaali Venkat, Harish Peradi have all done their part well.
Justin Prabhakar’s music compliments the theme of the movie very well.
Richard M Nathan’s camerawork has captured Pollachi and Palakad in a scenic manner.
