First Song from Dulquer Salmaan’s I Am Game Released; Film Set for Worldwide Release on August 20

The first song from Dulquer Salmaan’s upcoming film I Am Game has been released. Titled “Arugey Arugey,” the song has been composed by Jakes Bejoy. The Malayalam version is sung by Armaan Malik, with lyrics penned by Sharfu. The track has been released in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. The Tamil version features vocals by Armaan Malik with lyrics by Vignesh Ramakrishna. The Telugu version has lyrics by Sanare and is also sung by Armaan Malik. In Hindi, the lyrics are written by Numan Khoker, with Armaan Malik lending his voice, while the Kannada version features lyrics by Hrudaya Shiva and vocals by Aniruddh Suswaram.

One of the most anticipated films among fans and movie lovers, I Am Game is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release as an Onam release on August 20, 2026. Produced by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films, the big-budget fantasy thriller is being touted as the biggest film of Dulquer’s career. The film is directed by Nahas Hidayath. Produced by Dulquer Salmaan and Jom Varghese under the Wayfarer Films banner, the screenplay has been written by Sajeer Baba, Ismail Aboobacker, and Bilal Moidu, while the dialogues are jointly penned by Sajeer Baba, Adarsh Sukumaran, and Shabaz Rasheed.

The song has instantly struck a chord with audiences and has gone viral across social media soon after its release. It is also noteworthy that the track further elevates the audience’s expectations for the film. Earlier, the film’s trailer received a phenomenal response from viewers. Released in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada, the trailer attracted widespread pan-Indian attention.

Marking Dulquer Salmaan’s 40th film, the big-budget fantasy thriller features an ensemble cast including Antony Varghese, Tamil actor-director Mysskin, Kayadu Lohar, Kathir, Parth Tiwari, and Tamil actress Samyuktha Viswanathan, among others. Zee Music has acquired the film’s music rights. The trailer and the newly released song hint that Jakes Bejoy’s music, Jimshi Khalid’s visuals, and the action choreography by Anbariv Masters will be among the film’s biggest highlights.

I Am Game is also the next production from Wayfarer Films following the mega blockbuster Lokah. It also marks director Nahas Hidayath’s next film after the blockbuster RDX. The film will have a pan-Indian theatrical release in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada.
