Fight club movie review

Story:

Vijay Kumar is a young and determined  college student who wants to become a football player.

He fails to grab the right opportunities and therefore becomes distraught.

At the same time, Avinash, an ex-prisoner sets out to avenge and looks out to end Shankar Da, a politician.

Vijay Kumar and Avinash’s tracks run parallel as they both are haunted by their past and putting their lives at stake.

What happens next forms the core plot of Fight Club.

Analysis:

Director Abbas A Rahmath has took up a solid story which is raw and hard hitting at the same time.

Abbas has portrayed each and every character with so much authenticity that the audience are able to related to them.

The screenplay is engaging and the writing is sold as well.

The movie has some stellar performances.

To start with Vijay Kumar has delivered one his best performances so far.

He has understood the weightage of the character and has given his all for it.

The action blocks are solid and Vijay Kumar is convincing in them.

Avinash is menacing in his role. He sends chills down the spine whenever he appears on the screen.

Kaarthekeyen Santhanam  plays an all important role in the movie and sets the right tone.

Rest of the cast including Shankar Tahas and Saravanavel have all done their part well.

Music by Govind Vasantha gels well with the theme of the movie and is ably complimented by Leon Britto’s camerawork.

Rest of the techincal aspects are good as well.
