Fans celebrate release of Thunivu and Varisu across Tamilnadu
It was early Pongal celebrations for Vijay and Ajith fans as Thunivu and Varisu released today.
Thunivu FDFS opened earlier than Varisu across locations, and the show began at 1 am.
Fans gathered in theatres ahead of the FDFS and celebrated the release of the movies with drums, dance, cheer and songs.
Theatre owners made arrangements to avoid fan fights as movies of both the top actors are released on the same day.
Fans express their excitement and love for their favorite actor by anointing milk to their banners, and several theatres have made some musical arrangements to make the FDFS more special.
Varisu and Thunivu have occupied almost equal screens in Tamil Nadu, while the overall screen count is higher for the former.
Varisu is directed by Vamshi Paidipally and Thunivu is directed by H Vinoth.
