Witness a cinematic journey like no other as the Chennai Photo Biennale Foundation, in collaboration with Goethe-Institut Max Mueller Bhavan, presents Maasaru Kaatchiyavaruku: Celebrating Lakshmikantan’s Five Decades on Sets of Tamil Cinema. This first-ever exhibition offers a rare glimpse into the iconic photographer Lakshmikantan’s legendary work documenting Tamil cinema from behind the scenes.

For over fifty years, Lakshmikantan’s lens captured the essence of Tamil film history, immortalizing actors, directors, and production moments rarely seen by the public. His work spans generations, offering a treasure trove of visual stories that celebrate the artistry, legacy, and sheer magic of filmmaking in Tamil Nadu.
