Ethereal look of Samantha from Shaakuntalam impresses fans
Samantha wrapped up the shooting of Shaakuntalam in 2021. The mythological drama is produced by Neelima Guna.

While Samantha plays the role of Shakuntala, Dev Mohan will be seen as King Dushyant. The film is based on a popular Indian play titled Shakuntala, written by Kalidasa. Shaakuntalam will release in five languages later this year.
Samantha had decided to take a break from films after wrapping up Shaakuntalam. She had asked the film’s producer to plan her schedule accordingly so she could wrap up the shoot before August 2021.
