Enna Solla Pogirai – A collage of close-to-heart and real lifelike characterizations
What makes a film look so amazing or incisively close to heart are the ‘Characterizations’. If an audience can reflect or relate with one among the onscreen characters, the film has already hit the successful meter on radars. Trident Arts R Ravindran’s upcoming movie ‘Enna Solla Pogirai’, which is all set to hit screens worldwide on January 13, 2022, is loaded with beautiful characters that contemporary audiences from all walks of life can relate to.
“ In simple terms a RJ has become the family member of every home thanks to the non stop entertainment.. I felt Ashwin Kumar Lakshmikanthan would duly look perfect for this character. Thanks to his beautiful rendition of Tamil lines. Of course, he is a Tamil-speaking hero, but it’s not as easy as we think to adapt the flair linguistics of a Radio Jockey, which he accomplished easily. I am glad that he has stepped into these shoes and givens his best shot, thereby giving a perfect reflection of this press-media professional,” says filmmaker Hariharan A, who adds that Ashwin plays Vikram, an RJ in Radio Mirchi FM Station with a congenial nature, and loves to move around his close friend Chitti. Having cited ‘Chitti’ played by Vijay TV fame Pugazh, director Hariharan has crafted a pivotal character for him. “Yes, Pugazh plays the role of Chitti, who runs a pub in the heart of Chennai city. Well, the pub looks cool for the party animals, but the owners have their challenges to keep the business afloat. So is our Chitti, who loves to shoot the breeze anytime with his buddy Vikram. A perfect partner-in-crime indeed!!”
Besides, the director’s proficiency in sketching the female lead characters looks completely captivating. Director Hariharan says, “When I started writing the script of Enna Solla Pogirai, I was very keen on delineating the female lead characters with a decorous intensity. Especially, a romantic film needs the female characters to be strong and substantial. Avantika Mishra plays Anjali, a fab writer, who is addicted to authoring love stories and is pretty much an avid romantic person. Love means everything to her. Teju Ashwini plays Preethi, a theater artist, an ambitious girl, who wants to excel as an actress. She is survived by her younger brother and grandfather. Both these female characters have different opinions about life, love, and relationships, but the audience will feel connected to these characters in one way or the other.”
Scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on January 13, 2021, Enna Solla Pogirai is a Rom-Com directed by Hariharan A and produced by Trident Arts R Ravindran. The film features Ashwin Kumar Lakshmikanthan, Teju Ashwini, Avantika Mishra, and Pugazh in the lead roles. The songs by Vivek-Mervin have already become Chartbusters that have escalated the expectations over this film.
