Dr. S. Shankar Sworn In as New TTD Board Member

Dr. S. Shankar was sworn in as a new member of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Board on Sunday morning. The ceremony was held at the Ranganayakula Mandapam in Tirumala, and was attended by TTD Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, Executive Officer, and other senior officials.

Dr. Shankar is a well-known industrialist and philanthropist from Chennai. He is the founder and chairman of the Shuttle Cars, a diversified conglomerate with interests in manufacturing of e-vehicle.

In his acceptance speech, Dr. Shankar said that he was honored to be appointed to the TTD Board. He pledged to work with the other members to ensure the smooth functioning and preservation of the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple.

The TTD Board is responsible for managing the affairs of the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, one of the most revered religious institutions in India. The board has 24 members, who are appointed by the Andhra Pradesh government.
