DMK will not come to power again in TN: Palaniswami

AIADMK interim general secretary and former chief minister Edappadi K Palaniwami charged the DMK government in Tamil Nadu for scrapping various welfare measures that were implemented in his party’s tenure.

EPS also emphasised that the present DMK government will not come to power again in the State.

Speaking at the former chief minister Anna’s birth anniversary here, alleged that all the schemes, which was introduced by the AIADMK government, including the two-wheeler scheme for housewives, and the gold scheme for young women were scrapped. He also claimed that there are steps taken to close the “Amma canteen”.

Palaniswami also condemned that the DMK government for increasing the electricity tariff and revising the property tax. The AIADMK leader said that during his regime the free laptop scheme benefited almost 50 lakh students, but the current DMK government had shelved projects mooted by the AIADMK government.
