Disney+ Hotstar’s “Chutney Sambar,” web series Review
Disney+ Hotstar has launched “Chutney Sambar,” a web series starring Yogi Babu and directed by Radha Mohan, renowned for his work on films like “Mozhi,” “Abhiyum Naanum,” and “Payanam.” Radha Mohan shares the writing credit with Pon Parthiban, with whom he also collaborated on “Bommai.”
In “Chutney Sambar,” Yogi Babu portrays Sachin, the owner of a roadside eatery named ‘Amudha Unavagam,’ while Nizhalgal Ravi plays the proprietor of ‘Amudha Cafe,’ a vintage café in Ooty. The story begins with a delightful blend of comedy and drama and follows an orphaned street vendor who unexpectedly finds himself part of his wealthy stepbrother’s family, facing the challenges of gaining acceptance in his new life.
Starring alongside Yogi Babu are Vani Bhojan and Krish Hassan. The series promises to deliver a mix of laughter and poignant moments. The supporting cast includes Nithin Sathya, Elango, Samyuktha Vishwanathan, Chandramouli PS, and Myna Nandhini.
Produced by Vels Film International, “Chutney Sambar” is set to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on July 26, under the ‘Hotstar Specials’ tag. This web series offers a unique narrative with its engaging plot and ensemble cast, making it a must-watch for fans of Tamil cinema and OTT content.
