Directors Atlee, Lokesh, and Nelson join the cast of Jananayagan

Acclaimed directors Atlee, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Nelson are reportedly set to make special cameo appearances in Thalapathy Vijay’s final film, Jana Nayagan.

According to sources, the trio, who have all directed some of Vijay’s most successful and iconic films, will appear in a scene playing journalists.

The news, while not yet officially confirmed by the filmmakers or the production house, has been a major talking point on social media, with fans eagerly anticipating this unique on-screen collaboration.

The significance of these cameos is rooted in the close relationship each director shares with the superstar.

Atlee is known for his hat-trick of blockbusters with Vijay, including Theri, Mersal, and Bigil. Lokesh Kanagaraj delivered the massive hits Master and Leo, while Nelson directed the action film Beast.

Their presence in Jana Nayagan is seen by many as a symbolic farewell, marking the end of Vijay’s prolific film career before he fully dedicates himself to politics.

Jana Nayagan, directed by H. Vinoth, is being touted as a grand cinematic spectacle with a political action thriller theme.

The film, which also stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, and a host of other notable actors, is scheduled for a Pongal 2026 release.
