Director R. Kannan’s ‘Gandhari’ featuring Hansika Motwani in dual roles!

Director R.Kannan is well-known for his exceptional ability to create and deliver outstanding family-friendly films. His works such as Jayam Kondan and Kanden Kadhalai have been adored by family audiences, while Settai, Ivan Thanthiran, Biskoth, and other successful movies have garnered praise from the younger generation. His recent release, ‘The Great Indian Kitchen’, received acclaim from critics and viewers alike. The anticipation is high for his upcoming project, ‘Gandhari’, a commercial horror film starring Hansika Motwani in the lead role. Hansika Motwani’s portrayal of dual characters as a Hindu charity official and a tribal woman is expected to be a standout performance in her career, showcasing her dedication to bringing authenticity to her roles. The team constructed an impressive cave set costing Rs.60Lac along East Coast Road in Chennai for filming flashback scenes in 1943. The cinematography and music are set to be standout features in this film.

Hansika Motwani will be seen playing the titular character, and the others in the star cast include Metro Sirish, Mayilsamy, Thalaivasal Vijay, Aadukalam Naren, Stunt Silva, Vinodhini, Pawan, Brigida Saga, Vadivel Murugan, Kalairani and many others.

Tholkappiyan has written the story and Dhananjayan has penned the screenplay for this film, which features dialogues by Srini. Balasubramaniam is handling cinematography and LV Muthu Ganesh is composing music. Jijinthra is the editor of this film. Stunt Silva is choreographing stunts. Sivasankaran is the producer supervisor, and Johnson is the PRO.

The shooting of Gandhari has concluded, and the final stages of production are currently underway. Official announcements regarding the teaser and trailer will be made soon. The team aims to release the film in April, promising families an enjoyable summer vacation experience.
