Dhanush receives ‘Red Card’ from Tamil Film Producers’ Council
Dhanush is currently on a high with the massive success of his 50th film, Raayan.
The movie, written and directed by the National Award-winner himself, is currently on its way to emerge as the all-time highest-grossing film in his career.
However, all is not well in the Raayan actor’s career, as he has now received a ‘Red Card’ from the Tamil Film Producers’ Council.
The association took action against Dhanush, upon a complaint raised by renowned producer banner Sri Thenandal Films.
According to the complaint raised by Sri Thenandal Films in 2023, Dhanush abandoned a project produced by the banner after receiving the advance amount.
As per the reports, despite committing to the project, the National Award-winning actor never turned up for the shoot.
The Tamil Film Producers Council, which called out the actor for the same at a recent meeting, issued a ‘Red Card’ for the actor.
Dhanush will be next seen in Kubera, the highly anticipated Shekhar Kammula directorial which is touted to be a period drama. The actor is sharing the screen with Nagarjuna Akkineni and Rashmika Mandanna in the movie, which is expected to be released in 2025.
