Dhanush Raayan gets A certificate
Dhanush’s second directorial venture, Raayan, was given an ‘A’ certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
The film also marks Dhanush’s 50th film as an actor. Raayan, which was initially slated for a release on June 13, was pushed due to unknown reasons.
Now, the film will grace the screens on July 26, two weeks after Kamal Haasan and director Shankar’s Indian 2.
On July 9, Dhanush shared a special poster to announce that the film has received an ‘A’ certificate, two weeks before its release. Reportedly, there were no cuts and the film’s runtime is around two hours and 25 minutes.
Recently, the audio launch of Raayan took place at Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai. Dhanush performed with AR Rahman and complimented him.
The actor thanked his fans for their continued support throughout his career.
The ensemble cast of Raayan includes Kalidas Jayaram, Sundeep Kishan, Dushara Vijayan, Aparna Balamurali, Prakash Raj and Selvaraghavan in pivotal roles. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar will be seen in a cameo in Dhanush’s directorial venture.
