Delhi Police arrest seven in Pakistan-linked terror and crime network

Delhi Police’s Special Cell has announced the dismantling of an international crime and terror network allegedly operating with support from Pakistan-based handlers. Seven individuals have been arrested in connection with the case.
Investigators claim the syndicate was managed by gangster-turned-terror operative Shahzad Bhatti along with associate Ajmal Gujjar. Authorities allege that the group was involved in transporting illegal weapons, ammunition, and narcotics from Pakistan into the Delhi-NCR region.
Police further stated that the network was operating with the backing of Pakistan’s intelligence establishment and relied on Indian-based operatives to carry out activities. Those arrested, mainly from Uttar Pradesh and Punjab, reportedly have prior criminal histories and were allegedly in communication with contacts across the border.
