Connectivity to Cultural Hubs of Andhra Pradesh and Bihar: IndiGo commences direct operations between Delhi- Rajahmundry and Delhi-Darbhanga

IndiGo, India’s preferred carrier, commences daily direct flights on new routes, Delhi-Rajahmundry and  Delhi-Darbhanga, w.e.f. December 12, 2024. These direct connections from Delhi to two vibrant cultural  capitals: Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, and Darbhanga, Bihar, promises to provide seamless and hassle- free travel for those planning to visit this destination during the forthcoming winter break. The enhanced  connectivity, leveraging Delhi’s extensive network, will significantly boost travel to these important tier-2 cities.

The maiden flight on Delhi – Rajahmundry sector was launched by Shri. Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, Hon’ble Minister of Civil Aviation along with Dr. Daggubati Purandeswari, Member of Parliament, Rajahmundry and Shri. T. Uday Srinivas, Member of Parliament, Kakinada. The Delhi – Darbhanga flight  as launched by Shri. Sanjay Kumar Jha, Hon’ble Member of Parliament and Chairman, Parliamentary Standing  Committee on transport, Tourism and Culture.

Boasting over 250 daily departures, the airline connects Delhi to 88 destinations, including 69 domestic and 19 international locations. The launch of these new direct flights offers customers a seamless travel experience from Delhi to Rajahmundry and Darbhanga, further expanding IndiGo’s global reach.  Renowned for its numerous temples and religious sites, Rajahmundry and Darbhanga are both poised to  draw a significant number of travellers, particularly given the recent surge in pilgrimage tourism across the  country. This influx of visitors will not only invigorate the tourism sector but also stimulate the economic  growth of the two cities.
