Chinmayi’s version of ‘Emkoney’ won’t feature in Draupathi 2: Director Mohan G
Singer Chinmayi received a lot of flak for collaborating with Mohan G for the ‘Emkoney’ song from Draupathi 2, as their political ideologies don’t align.
Following the backlash, Chinmayi issues a statement saying she didn’t know which film she sang the song for and that she only did it for composer Ghibran.
After her statement, director Mohan G asked netizens to refrain from attacking the technicians of his film.
Now, the makers of Draupathi 2 have announced that an alternative singer will render the ‘Emkoney’ song and that Chinmayi’s version will not feature on the big screens in the film.
The film’s producer, Chola Shakkaravarthi, and director, Mohan G, told the press that they have identified another person to sing the track.
