Captain movie review

Story:

The movie opens with a scene where a jeep is seen entering the forest and in a second, you hear a sound that indicates the jeep met with an accident and then some gunshots.

Four Indian army officials are killed. Arya and his team are on a mission of saving hostages from terrorists.

Soon they are deputed to now find out the reason behind the killing of those Army officials.

However, Arya’s team is also attacked and a member loses his life.

Simran, a scientist seeks help from Arya in finding the hidden reason behind the death of the soldiers.

What happens next forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:

Just like his previous films, director Shakti has come up with a good concept.

Though we have seen similar movies in Hollywood, the director has localised the story making it easier for the audience to relate. Arya fits in really well into the role of a Captain.

His performance in the action sequences are worth mentioning.

Aishwarya Lekshmi plays the female lead and gets very minimal screenspace. imran has done a good job. Her character has some grey shades too.

Rest of the cast have also done their job well. Imman’s music is pulsating and adds more momentum to the proceedings. The VFX could have been better.

Rating: 3.3/5
