Blood donation Drive @cancer Hospital on Tuesday the 4th and Wednesday the 5th between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Covid second wave has hit every one hard and we talk about so many shortages like bed, oxygen medicine etc.  There is one more acute shortage that is also quite alarming which is blood.  Since last year the blood  donation drives which formed the core of blood units stock have not been held leading to a situation of blood banks running dry

Now with the  Government opening up the vaccination drive for 18+ who are the main donors,  the blood supply will be further affected for the next  2 months    A  newly  vaccinated person cannot donate blood till about 28 days post the vaccination and that means for next 2 months the voluntary donors will not be available for even emergency needs.

We humbly   request  each one of the General public:

Before you take the vaccination shot,  please go to the nearest blood bank and donate blood which will help them  to ramp up their storage and will  be extremely useful for the patients.

Keeping this in mind rotary club of Chennai Thiruvanmiyur,   Chennai volunteer forum and national blood donor association are organizing a blood donation campaign at  Cancer Institute  Adyar  on Tuesday the 4th and Wednesday the 5th between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

we request the general public to please  come to  the venue which follows strict covid protocol and Donate the life saving blood.  A single donor helps 3 people to live.  You can contact Mr Santosh Chelakkara @ 9840030606 for a easy and comfortable donor experience at the Cancer Institute.
