“Biker” Movie Review
Biker taps into the audience’s love for sports dramas and brings a refreshing backdrop to Indian cinema by focusing on motocross racing. Marketed as India’s first motocross-based film, it arrives with a unique concept and delivers a sincere sports drama packed with emotion, racing thrills, and strong performances.
Set in Coimbatore, the film follows former motocross racer Sunil Narayan, whose dream is to see India recognized on the global motocross stage. He trains his son Vikas Narayan from a young age to become a champion racer and fulfill that dream. Vikas grows into a talented and disciplined rider, fully committed to his father’s vision. However, after a dangerous accident and emotional pressure from his love interest, he steps away from racing. The rest of the film explores whether he returns to the sport and how his relationship with his father evolves.
Sharwanand delivers a sincere and convincing performance as Vikas. His physical transformation, body language, and commitment during racing scenes add authenticity to the role. He performs emotional scenes well, especially in the father-son portions, which form the emotional core of the film. Rajasekhar gives a mature and restrained performance as Sunil Narayan, portraying a strict father who believes sport comes before everything. The emotional scenes between him and Sharwanand in the latter half are among the film’s highlights.
Technically, the film is strong. Cinematography captures the motocross races with great energy and clarity, making the racing sequences exciting and immersive. The background score enhances key moments, and the production values give the film a polished and professional look.
Overall, Biker is a well-made sports drama with a unique backdrop, strong performances, and engaging racing sequences. While the story follows a familiar emotional pattern, the sincerity in execution, technical quality, and motocross action make it an enjoyable and engaging film worth watching.
