‘Before I Fade Away’ Music Video Launch
Music composer Bobo Sasi’s music album ‘Before I Fade Away’ released
The launch of the independent music album ‘Before I Fade Away’, a collaboration between composer Bobo Sasi, director Yuki Praveen, singer Akshita Suresh and Inara Productions, was held in Chennai. At this event, composer Murali released the music album, while composer C. Sathya and composer Srikanth Deva jointly received it.
Music albums created by independent musicians are currently receiving a similar reception to film songs. In this context, the music album ‘Before I Fade Away’ is being prepared with the music of film composer and famous musician Bobo Sasi. This music album is directed by Yuki Praveen and cinematography is done by Arvind Balaji. Producer Suresh Padmanabhan on behalf of Inara Productions has produced this music album.
The album’s promo video was released online and went viral, attracting the attention of fans. The album’s launch event was held in Chennai. Musicians Murali, C. Sathya, Srikanth Deva, actor Hari Krishnan, singer Haidu Karthik, and rapper I.K. Berry attended the event as special guests.
Speaking at the event, Producer Suresh Padmanaban said, “I have known Yugi Praveen for the past one year. I have been watching his talents. He has created the music album Before I Fade Away as a testament to ‘Vida Puruth Viswaroopa Vetri’. He has already written songs for films. I thank him for giving me such a wonderful song. He worked in our company at night and created this music album during the day. Even in the difficult environment during the shooting, he interacted with everyone naturally. For this, I sincerely appreciate him. I thank him for not only singing the song included in this album but also for appearing and acting in the album. I also express my heartfelt gratitude to all the special guests who have come to congratulate the young talents,” he said.
Singer-songwriter-actor Haidu Karthik said, “Currently, new rappers are emerging in the music world. There are increasing opportunities for rappers to write and sing entire songs for films. This style was started by music composer Bobo Sasi in 2007. Thank you to everyone who came here to congratulate us,” he said.
Music composer Bobo Sasi said, “I would like to thank Suresh Padmanaban for trusting us and producing this music album. Singer Akshita Suresh sang this song in a soft voice. Since it is Before I Fade Away, we wanted to add some emphasis to the voice. For that, we contacted him again and asked if he could sing in another version. He sang it without any hesitation. I would like to thank him for that. This music album has turned out very well. I request everyone to support it,” he said.
Rapper IK Perry said, “My heartfelt congratulations to the Before I Fade Away team. The music album is beautiful. All aspects of this album, including the lyrics, VFX, and music, are excellent. The same support we give to film songs should be given to songs by independent artists. I would like to thank all the special guests who have come to congratulate independent artists like us,” she said.
Singer Akshita Suresh said, “I am a melody singer. Yuki Praveen contacted me and asked if I could sing a rap song, and I tried. During the recording of the song, Yuki Praveen told me, ‘Not like this, you should sing it like this.’ After that, Bobo Sasi and Yuki Praveen called me again and told me that this rap song should be sung like this. Without their guidance, I would not have been able to sing like this. I liked my voice very much. For this, I express my heartfelt gratitude to them at this moment.
The story behind this song is Yuki Praveen’s, his thought, his imagination. It was only during the moments I spent with him on this song that I was able to understand its life. I was also impressed by the effort he took to express it. He worked hard for all the subtleties that are present in this song. I would like to thank all of you who continue to support independent musicians like us. I request you to support this album as well,” he said.
Lyricist-rapper-director Yuki Praveen said, “There is a line in this music album that goes, ‘I prayed for the rain yesterday, but today there is no mushroom that has sprouted. If you don’t read my story, even Nolan will go to Colombo…’
I have worked as a medical billing designer and a graphic designer. But since I was young, I have been passionate about the music industry. I had a goal to succeed in this someday. This music album is the first step towards that. I have given 200 percent effort for this album. I need God’s blessings for this.
I participated in a corporate art show where more than 200 companies participated and sang a rap song on behalf of our company and won the first prize. When I met the producer Suresh Padmanaban for this, he said that Akshita Suresh would also sing well. That’s how we were introduced. For the past one year, we have all worked like a family and created this music album. All this is by the grace of God.
No matter how many times I thank Bobo Sasi, who composed the music for this, I can’t thank him enough. He was the one who first introduced me to the film industry. Back then, I was mostly singing Gaana songs. It was only after that that I turned my attention to rap songs.
Bobo Sasi was the one who introduced hip hop songs in the film ‘Kulir 100’. Back then, there was no rap in films. After that, I started researching rap music and writing songs. So far, I have written 8 rap songs. Bobo Sasi has composed the music for 5 of these songs.
The song featured in this album is not a normal, ordinary song. It tells a story. A person fails in life. After that, how he learns and succeeds is a whole life story that has been featured in this song. I think we are the first in Tamil to try to tell a story in such a music album.
“Even if God does not help, effort will pay off,” the meaning of the verse “Though effort is not enough, effort will pay off.” If one puts in one hundred percent effort, the goddess of success will descend for one’s success. This is what we have described in visual language in this song. I would like to express my gratitude to all the technical team who worked for this,” he said.
Music composer C. Sathya said, “I express my heartfelt gratitude to the producer and Sarigama for giving this young talent a chance. Unlike ordinary music albums, this music album has been created at international standards. The VFX, editing, and cinematography for this music album were excellent. I congratulate the team for this.”
It is important to promote this music album even after its release. Only then will it reach the fans. I request the producer and Sarigama to come forward for this.
If we talk about the hip-hop music in Bobo Sasi’s songs, he would have composed the music with a thorough understanding of that culture. A talented composer like him needs the support of all parties.
Music composer Srikanth Deva is a dear friend of mine. He is currently doing new things on Instagram, and this is a time when such efforts are needed.
Singer Akshita Suresh has sung a song that I am currently composing. The song is not yet complete. Her talent was evident in that song. She will reach many more heights. Her voice is unique, I pray to God that she gets the opportunity to sing many more songs,” he said.
Music composer Murali said, “When I was working as a keyboard player for Ilayaraja and his brother Theva, I would go home at midnight and leave home early in the morning. My son Sasi was studying in the seventh standard at that time. One morning, as soon as I opened my room, there was a letter that caught my eye. It said, ‘Dear father, this is written by your son Sasi. I am interested in music. I also have the devotion and love you have for music. You should spend half of what you spend on my studies on learning music. For that, buy me a musical instrument. Tomorrow I will also become a great musician,” he had written, and he proved it today.
“Everyone can be a composer. But his sound system is different. He creates all the sounds from scratch. I liked that very much. I listened to the songs on this album. They are very good. I would like to express my heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to everyone who worked for this,” he said.
Music composer Srikanth Deva said, “I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to producer Suresh Padmanaban, who has made the release of this music album possible, just like the release of a film’s music.”
I would like to congratulate and thank the director of this music album, Yuki Praveen, and the VFX team.
Siddappa Murali is the reason why I became a keyboard player. I didn’t learn music completely. I learned by watching the music-making style of Deva, Sabesh-Murali.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the family of singer Akshita Suresh for their support.
“The sounding that Bobo Sasi uses for a song is new, different, and pleasant to listen to. I would say that his contribution is also a reason for my success. I pray to God that he too rises to great heights as a great composer. I request everyone to support this music album,” he said.
