AR Rahman’s son injured in early-morning car accident in Chennai
AR Ameen, son of music composer AR Rahman, sustained minor injuries after the luxury car he was travelling in was involved in a collision with a taxi in Chennai early Monday morning.
Police said the accident occurred at approximately 3.30 am near Olympia Tech Park. Ameen was travelling towards Guindy on Jawaharlal Nehru Road when a cab reportedly emerged from a side road and struck the luxury vehicle.
Ameen and a friend travelling with him suffered minor injuries. Both were taken to a private hospital for medical attention and were later discharged.
A passenger in the taxi was also injured and was admitted to the Kalaignar Centenary Super Speciality Hospital. The injured occupants were subsequently allowed to return home after treatment.
The Adyar Traffic Investigation Wing is handling the investigation into the accident.
