Anushka Shetty likely to be part of Kaithi 2
There’s a lot of buzz surrounding Anushka Shetty’s potential involvement in Kaithi 2. While there’s no official confirmation yet, several reports and rumors suggest she might be joining the cast of the highly anticipated sequel to Lokesh Kanagaraj’s 2019 blockbuster, Kaithi.
Some speculate she could play Dilli’s (Karthi’s character) wife, as the sequel is expected to delve into Dilli’s past.
Others suggest she might portray a powerful lady don or even the main antagonist, marking the first prominent female villain in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).
Lokesh Kanagaraj is reportedly juggling the post-production of his upcoming film Coolie starring Rajinikanth and the pre-production of Kaithi 2.
Filming for Kaithi 2 is expected to begin after Coolie’s release, which is slated for August 14, 2025.
Anushka Shetty and Karthi have previously worked together in the 2013 film Alex Pandian.
