Ajith Kumar: No plan to do films during racing season

After escaping unscathed from a car crash during a recent practice session, actor Ajith is ready to race.

The racing season will begin from January 11, where the actor will be participating in Dubai’s 24H event.

Speaking to the media there, Ajith said that he doesn’t plan to sign any films during the extensive racing season.

Ajith said, “I plan to pursue motor sports not just as a driver, but as a team owner as well. Until the racing season is on, I won’t be signing films. And then, probably from October until March, until the (next) racing season commences, I would do films. Till then no one is worried, and I can go full throttle.”

Recounting his experiences, the actor added, “In 2004, I participated in British Formula 3, in a scholarship class. Unfortunately, I couldn’t complete it due to work commitments. It was like balancing two boats at the same time. So then I waited for some time and was fortunate enough to get a chance to race in the European Formula 2 season. But that time, too, I could do only a few races due to the films I was doing (at the time).”

On the work front, his upcoming film Good Bad Ugly is set to hit theatres on April 10.

Meanwhile, the release of his film Vidaamuyarchi, originally scheduled for January 10, has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, with a new release date yet to be confirmed.
