Air India flight briefly entered Pakistani airspace, probe on

Air India has reportedly confirmed that one of its flights operating between Delhi and Amritsar briefly crossed into Pakistani airspace while executing a go-around procedure near Amritsar airport.

The incident occurred on June 22 during the operation of Flight AI479. A go-around is a standard aviation manoeuvre performed when an aircraft cannot safely complete its landing approach and must circle back for another attempt.

The airline stated that the matter has been reported to aviation regulators and is currently under internal investigation.

Air India emphasised that passenger and crew safety remains its highest priority and that the circumstances surrounding the incident are being thoroughly reviewed.
