Agent Kannayiram movie review

Story:

Santhanam is a small time detective who is deeply affected by the demise of his mother with whom he was not in good terms.

He was not even able to reach to her funeral on time.

During this period, he comes across a mysterious case of unclaimed dead bodies and decides solve them as he feels that he will get some inner peace.

Was Santhanam able to solve the mystery behind the unclaimed bodies, did he find closure forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:

Santhanam is effective as the small time detective who aims to make it big in the field.

His mannerisms and body language and the way he deducts a crime scene are all interesting.

Santhanam has brought the character of Agent Kannayiram to life with ease.

However, the problem comes in the execution part. Director Manoj Beedha hits the right spot in some scenes and misses the plot completely in few.

The pacing of the movie is also a major drawback as the film takes its time to get to the main plot.

Riya Suman plays a crucial role in the movie and does a decent job.

Yuvan Shankar Raja’s BGM gels well with the theme of the movie.

Theni Eashwar’s camerawork is neat. Rest of the technical aspects of the movie are good as well.

Rating: 3.2/5
