Actor Siddharth’s Chithha sweeps 5 awards at Vikatan Awards 2023

Nothing lets a film crew’s heart and soul get embellished with emotional glee than getting honoured by the press and media fraternity. Actor Siddarth’s ‘Chithha’ became one such epitome of Tamil cinema that won the hearts of critics and cinephiles. The film, having won several accolades, has found yet another reason to celebrate as Vikatan, one of the prominent and well-esteemed publications has honoured the film with Five Awards – Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Child Artiste, and Best Lyrics.

Actor Siddarth says, “It’s overwhelming to see the press and media fraternity acknowledging our humble and hard work with such recognition. Vikatan hasn’t proved its credibility as a publication, but has struck the right chords of the successful graph in film and small screen production as well. It has been a pillar and backbone to many movies, elevating its value with its authentic reviews and recognition. I am so glad as an actor and producer to witness ‘Chithha’ gain the greatest honors from Vikatan.”

Furthermore, the actor is excited about his forthcoming magnum opus ‘Indian 2’, where he shares the screen space with Kamal Haasan. “I embarked on my journey in the industry as an assistant director before wearing the greasepaint as an actor. Kamal Haasan has been and will be my soulful Guru and Mentor till the end. It was such an amazing experience to learn his nuances and his versatility while working with him. I wanted to be a part of every single promotional phase of this film, and I am feeling a tinge of emotion as I could not attend the Indian 2 Audio Launch due to prior commitments. Indian 2 will be one of the best films in my career, and I am unconditionally indebted to Lyca Productions, Director Shankar sir, and Kamal Haasan sir for giving me this priceless opportunity, I can’t wait to experience the magic of these icons on big screens together with the audience in the theaters.”
