Triple Threat Chennai wins Bronze Medal

Phantom Strikers Bengaluru won the Choice 4th Karnataka  Open Trios Tenpin Bowling Tournament which concluded at Amoeba, Church Street, Bangalore. In the  Finals, based on cumulative pinfall of 2 games and played on Bakers format Phantom Strikers Bengaluru  led by Kishan R defeated the top seeded Delhi Hawks.

Playing finals, based on cumulative pinfall of two  games format, second seed Phantom Strikers Bengaluru comprising of Kishan R, Misam Rizvi and Abhishek   Maheswari finished Game 1 with 180 to take a lead of 7 pins against 173 of top seed Delhi  Hawks. And in Game 2, Phantom Strikers continued the momentum scoring 238 against 184 of Delhi Hawks to win the Gold Medal with a difference of 61 pins (418-357). Delhi Hawks settled for Silver and  teams Triple Threat Chennai and Bengal Xtrikers who lost in semi-finals won the Bronze Medal.

In the 1st  Semi-Finals, 4th seed Triple Threat Chennai started Game 1 with 146 conceding a lead of 13 pins against top seed Delhi Hawks (146-159). In Game 2, Delhi Hawks played consistently in Game 2 scoring 191 to  defeat Triple Threat Chennai by a margin of 39 pins (311 – 350).

And in 2nd Semi-Finals, 2nd seed  hantom  Strikers Bengaluru defeated Bengal Shield by a narrow margin of 6 pins (427-421).

Earlier in the day, Triple  Threat Chennai won only one out of their first 4 Round Robin matches. Team then picked up the  momentum to win the next three matches to secure 8 points and qualify for Knockout Round.

At the end of  Round 2, 3 teams from Bengaluru, 2 teams from West Bengal and one team each from Andhra Pradesh, TamilNadu and Delhi made it to Round 3. At the end of Round 3, Delhi Hawks emerged on top of the table  with 10 points. They were followed by Phantom Strikers Bengaluru (10 points), Bengal Shield (10 points)  and Triple Threat (8 points).

34 Teams from Karnataka, TamilNadu, Maharashtra, Kerala, Andhra  Pradesh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi and West Bengal participated in this event.
