Prabhu Solomon’s critically acclaimed hit ‘Sembi’ to stream on Disney+ Hotstar from February 3

Disney+ Hotstar, India’s leading streaming platform is all set to stream director Prabu Solomon’s ‘Sembi’ from Feb 3rd

The powerful and gripping drama, featuring actress Kovai Sarala, child artiste Nila and ‘Cooku with Comali’ fame Ashwin Kumar in the lead is about an elderly tribal woman called Veeraththaai (Kovai Sarala) who demands justice for her 10-year-old granddaughter Sembi (Nila) who is assaulted by a gang of paedophiles drunk on power and position.

Considered one of Prabhu Solomon’s finest, ‘Sembi’ has come in for a lot of accolades from various quarters and is believed to be one-of-a-kind for it features veteran comedienne Kovai Sarala in a never-before-seen role.
