Udanpal movie review

Story:

Charlie has two sons and a daughter and all of them are married. He lives with his elder son at his home. His daughter comes to his house and later ask Charlie to sell the house and settle the amount to them.

But, Charlie is not accepting to this saying that he will not have anywhere to stay if he sells this house. He goes to a shop where he regularly visits.

However, the shop is destroyed and the government announces Rs 20 lakh solatium to the family members of the deceased. However there is a twist, what is it and what happens next forms the rest of the story.

Anaylsis:

Director Karthik Srinivasan has took up an emotional story with a strong message but has delivered it in a lighter note without getting preachy. Charlie who is known for his versatility has delivered a top notch performance in Udanpal.

This is one of his finest performance till date. The way he carries his character his commendable.

Linga is apt as the elder son and he showcases the struggle of a family man who finds it difficul to make ends meet. Aparnadhi as his wife delivers a strong performance.

Gayathri, Vivek Prasanna and Dheena have all done their part well.

Madhan Christopher’s camerawork is impressive. With most of the proceedings taking place inside a house, he has managed to keep the audience engaged.

Sakthi Balaji’s background music fits well with the theme of the movie.
