As you all know, I am born a tamilian, who has an immense respect and interest towards the Indian Heritage, its cultural values and uniqueness, though living in USA, has my own way of expressing my values by way of producing unique and character driven movies under my home banner Kybba Films.
This year 2019, assumes immense significance as this is the 150th birth centenary year of Mahatma – a great soul. In this very special year, one of the America’s oldest and largest Ethnic Senior Not for Profit organization Metropolitan Asian Family Services Inc., is dedicating its 27th year anniversary, as a mark of respect in the name of Mahatma Gandhiji’s 150.
In this regard, it has chosen to present ‘Top 20 Global Icons’ who has carried out the legacy of Gandhi in this digital age and it’s a great honour, that I am also selected as one to receive that prestigious award.
This prestigious award would be presented by Indian Consul General, Chicago Sudhakar Dalela and US Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthy at a function at Waterford Convention Center, Illinois on 12 October 2019.
