Actress Kalyani Priyadarshan is very much exhilarated on making her debut in Tamil cinema through a much bigger film “Hero” starring Sivakarthikeyan in lead role, which is scheduled for worldwide release on December 20, 2019.
Albeit the fact that her screen presence was minimal in the film’s trailer, she has stolen the spotlights for her cuteness. Ask her, if the role she plays in this film is somewhat similar to her real nature. “I play Meera, who has matured behaviour and she is someone, who thinks several times before expressing her opinions. She’s completely far different and poles apart from what I am in real life. Kalyani is someone, who impulsively speaks out without thinking,” says Kalyani with laughter.
Speaking about the film’s premise set against the backdrops of education system, she opines, “Having pursued education in both Indian and abroad, I find a vast difference on how it works. I think ‘Hero’ has stressed its emphasis on the current educational system and I am sure, it will audiences will sit back and think about the message conveyed.”
Sharing her experience of working with the ‘Hero’ team, she says, “PS Mithran has showcased his wizardry and the way, he has sketched each and every character in the film is perfect. More than me speaking, audiences will acclaim him for what he has done after watching the film. Sivakarthikeyan is such a good-hearted person and the way he treats everyone on the sets is heartwarming. Apart from being a performer, he has inherent quality of an excellent filmmaker and one day, I would like to act in a film he directs. I have already spoken about the ‘Superheroes’ behind the creation of ‘Hero’ during the audio launch. Be it Yuvan Shankar Raja sir’s music or George C William’s spellbinding visuals, they have left unlimited mark on the film. I am still in dream mode unable to believe that I am part of a film that has geniuses in every department. I thank producer Rajesh sir for believing in me and getting me onboard for this film. The way he is pushing himself into greater means of promoting and marketing the film is extraordinary.”
