Sivakarthikeyan heads to Madurai for next schedule of ‘Seyon’
Actor Sivakarthikeyan has travelled to Madurai to resume work on director Sivakumar Murugesan’s upcoming Tamil film ‘Seyon’.
The actor had recently taken a brief break in Ooty, where he shared photographs of himself relaxing amid the mist-covered hills. He captioned the post with a reference to taking a pause and enjoying some peace.
His appearance at Chennai airport has now indicated that he has returned to the film’s production. Sources had earlier suggested that shooting would restart in Madurai during the first week of August.
The upcoming schedule is expected to be an extensive one. The production team completed its first schedule on June 10, according to an announcement by Raaj Kamal Films International, which is producing the project.
The film began production in Madurai on May 18 with a launch ceremony attended by several prominent personalities, including Kamal Haasan. The project is being produced by RaajKamal Films International in association with Turmeric Media.
Actress Baghyashrii Borse is paired with Sivakarthikeyan in the film. The project marks her first direct Tamil-language feature. Before the film officially went into production, Murugesan shared a video of himself and members of the core team meeting Kamal Haasan at his office and completing the agreement formalities. The director described the moment as particularly significant, recalling his long-held wish to receive an autograph from Kamal Haasan.
Interest in ‘Seyon’ grew further after the makers released a glimpse titled ‘The Celebration.’ The footage is centred on an incident connected to the Maasi Kalari festival at the Karumaathur Virumaandi Temple.
The sequence depicts events unfolding at a local police station following a major confrontation during the festival, with villagers gathering as a constable explains the circumstances to an inspector.
