Sivakarthikeyan film Seyon completes another major shooting phase
Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming film Seyon has reached another production milestone, with Raaj Kamal Films International announcing the completion of its second shooting schedule.
The production house shared a behind-the-scenes video alongside the announcement, offering audiences glimpses of the film and its characters.
The film is directed by Sivakumar Murugesan, who made his directorial debut with Thaai Kizhavi earlier this year.
Seyon brings together several familiar collaborators. Sivakumar Murugesan reunites with producer and actor Sivakarthikeyan following Thaai Kizhavi, while Sivakarthikeyan is once again working with Kamal Haasan after their collaboration on Amaran.
Bhagyashri Borse, Raj B Shetty and Seeman are among the prominent members of the cast. Bala Saravanan, Singampuli and Aruldoss are also part of the film.
The technical team includes composer Santhosh Narayanan, action choreographers Anbariv, cinematographer Vidhu Ayyanna, editor San Lokesh and production designer Arun Venjaramoodu.
The makers have so far kept the main storyline under wraps. A previously released glimpse, however, appeared to show villagers treating Sivakarthikeyan’s character as a divine figure, giving audiences a hint about the unusual world the film may explore.
Sivakarthikeyan’s most recent release was Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara. The film received a mixed response from critics and audiences.
Box-office estimates for the film have varied. Sacnilk reported a worldwide gross of approximately Rs 85 crore, while other reports have claimed that the film crossed the Rs 100-crore mark.
Sivakarthikeyan has several other projects lined up. He is set to reunite with Don director Cibi Chakaravarthi for another film and is also expected to collaborate with filmmaker Venkat Prabhu.
Venkat Prabhu, known for films including Chennai 600028, Mankatha, Maanaadu and The Greatest of All Time, had previously featured Sivakarthikeyan in a cameo in GOAT alongside Vijay.
