Samantha calls Vijay her lucky charm and praises his political journey
Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu has expressed admiration for Vijay, describing her former co-star as her “lucky charm” while praising his decision to pursue a career in public service.
The comments are set to feature in an upcoming episode of the Tamil cooking reality show Celebrity MasterChef Tamil.
During a challenge on the programme, presenter RJ Vijay asked Samantha to identify her favourite star. She responded warmly, recalling her experience of working alongside the actor in three commercially successful Tamil films.
“He is my lucky charm. I worked with him in three superhits,” she said.
Samantha was referring to Kaththi (2014), Theri (2016) and Mersal (2017), all of which achieved considerable commercial success.
She also highlighted Vijay’s decision to move away from the film industry while still enjoying a successful acting career, describing his transition towards politics as an inspiring choice.
