Rajinikanth gifts spiritual book to Raashii Khanna, extends financial support to Mohan Sharma
Actress Raashii Khanna has shared that she recently received a thoughtful gift from superstar Rajinikanth while the two were shooting for their upcoming film Dharman, directed by Ashwath Marimuthu.
According to Raashii, a conversation about spirituality on the film’s set led Rajinikanth to recommend Living with the Himalayan Masters, written by Swami Rama. After learning that she had not read the book, the veteran actor surprised her by presenting her with a copy a couple of days later.
In a video shared with her followers, Raashii said she has been reading the book regularly over the past few weeks. She added with a smile that Rajinikanth had jokingly told her he would later ask questions about what she had learned from it.
The actress said several passages in the book encouraged her to pause and reflect, particularly those discussing self-awareness, personal growth and meditation. She also shared one of the excerpts that resonated deeply with her, highlighting the importance of confronting one’s inner conflicts instead of hiding behind pretence.
Rajinikanth has long been associated with spirituality and is known for making regular visits to the Himalayas, where he spends time meditating and seeking solitude between film commitments. His simple lifestyle during these visits has often drawn appreciation from admirers.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth has come forward to support veteran actor and filmmaker Mohan Sharma, who has been facing financial hardship in recent years.
According to reports, Rajinikanth contributed ₹1 lakh after learning about Sharma’s difficult circumstances. The veteran actor, now in his 80s, has been staying at an old-age home in Gummidipoondi near Chennai, where he receives basic accommodation and meals. He had recently revealed that his financial condition had become so severe that purchasing essential medicines had become a challenge.
