Mathimaran movie review

Story:

MS Bhaskar works as a postman in a village. He has twin children. One of them is Venkat Senguttuvan (Nedumaran) and the other is Ivana (Mathi).

Nedumaran is short and does not grow in height. Due to this, many people mock and tease him.

However, he continues to prove his mettle in studies without worrying about anything.

He falls in love with his college friend Aaradhya.

When everything seems to be going well.One day, the news of Ivana eloping with her college professor shatters the entire family.

M. S. Bhaskar and his wife, who were in a state of mental distress, hanged themselves to death.

Angered by this Nedumaran goes to Chennai in search of his sister.

Meanwhile, several young women are murdered in the city.

What happened to Nedumaran, how is he related to the murders forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:

Director Mantra Veerapandian has brought a very beautiful lifestyle with an interesting screenplay.

One of the biggest strengths of the film is that it keeps the audience guessing about what will happen next.

The climax could have been more powerful if it had ended a bit sharper.

Venkat Senguttuvan has lived the character of Nedumaran. He has delivered a matured performance.

With so much energy, he gives the performance that a seasoned actor would give and keeps the scenes entertaining.

Venkat has made the audience relate to his character by giving an absorbing performance.

Ivana has impressed everyone by giving a very realistic performance in this film.

She moves the audience to tears in a few scenes.

Aaradhya is functional as Nedumaran’s lover and a cop. She has delivered what was expected from her.

Actor MS Bhaskar continues to impress everyone with his experienced acting.

Rest of the cast have also done their part well.

The songs in Karthik Raja’s music are tasteful. The background music also adds strength to the film.

Cinematography by Parvaez K is the biggest pillar of the film.
